I just finished “Phoenix Gets Greater.” It’s the story of an Indigenous Canadian boy who is born sickly, is healed by his mother and comes out as a youngster. It’s beautifully illustrated and powerful.

The namesake of the story is professional actor. I’ve made a note to watch his films this winter. I’m glad that I saw this book on the shelf this week in one of the schools that I serve!
