I attend a group that I love and the leader always reminds us that as people who are not in majority that we all stand in solidarity with movements for all people. I don’t think that it’s a coincidence that I will have copies of my book on the day in which we as a country celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King. He said that “we cannot walk alone.”

It’s my hope that this book will impact all youth. Although the book is a story about gender, it’s also a book about how when a youth knows that there is something inside that is stuck, it impacts one’s entire being. I hope that the book is one that any youth regardless of background and identity find some empowerment through reading the story.
