There are two phenomenal picture books by Jessica Love. She’s both and illustrator and actor.

When I was diving into the books that are within the genre of LGBTQI+ I read an article that featured, ” Julián is a Mermaid,” and so I ordered the book in addition to ” Julián at the Wedding.”

They’re absolutely beautiful. She must have completed watercolor pages for the illustrations.

The stories are so sweet and relatable.  Julián simply loves color and flow. I have known many preschool and early elementary-aged kids who were drawn to beauty as  Julián is.

I had written an email of support to her, and she wrote me back. It would be a dream to meet her in person someday and I’m glad to have her books in my personal library.
